The Lens, the Dark & the Algorithm
Thirty years behind the camera. A lifetime drawn to shadows. Now - something entirely new begins.
The Origin
A Life Behind the Lens
For over thirty years, photography was not simply what I did - it was who I was. Light, shadow, the decisive moment, the invisible current that runs between a lens and its subject. I built a career from those instincts. I built a life around them.
Then, as life sometimes insists on doing, things changed, the business I had given three decades to was gone. I found myself standing in unfamiliar ground - still burning with the need to create, still drawn to beauty and darkness in equal measure, but without the structure I had always known.
So I built this. Not from certainty - but from curiosity. From the stubborn belief that a creative life does not simply end. It finds a new door, and walks through it.
“I have discovered that reinvention is not a young person’s game. It belongs to anyone brave enough to begin again.”

Photography & Artificial Intelligence
Where the Craft Meets the Conjuring
Professional photography gave me something no software ever could: an eye. The understanding of where light falls and why it matters. The instinct for what a frame should feel like before the shutter fires. Composition, atmosphere, shadow, tension - these are not skills acquired from tutorials. They are earned over decades of looking at the world with total attention.
Now I am learning a new language - the language of artificial intelligence. Not as a replacement for what I know, but as an extension of it. A conjuring partner that can take me beyond what any lens could reach: the impossible made visible, the imagined made real. Victorian fog. Ancient creatures. Impossible skies.
What I bring is the photographer’s soul: drama, shadow, the knowledge of what makes an image breathe. What the AI brings is the infinite. Together we make something neither could alone. That is not technology. That is alchemy.
The Worlds I Explore
Where Darkness Takes Form
My imagination has always been drawn to the shadows at the edge of things - the places where history tips into mystery, where the rational world thins and something older breathes through. These are the territories I explore through art:
A Word About Dogs
Every Dark Story Needs a Good Dog
Amidst vampires and demons, dragons and ghosts, there is one presence in my world that requires no supernatural justification - and yet belongs completely among all of them. My love of dogs is absolute and unapologetic.
In every mythology, every age of shadow, the dog has been there: guardian of the threshold, loyal companion to the hunter, the creature that senses what human senses cannot reach. In Victorian England, hounds ran beside their masters through fog and mystery alike. The wolf, at its most essential, chose loyalty.
Dogs appear in this work because they belong here. Because every world I create needs one honest soul in it - and it is always the dog.
What I Create
Objects Carrying the Dark
Each piece is made with a photographer’s eye and an explorer’s imagination - art for those who find beauty in the shadows, who carry a little darkness with them through the everyday world. We are just beginning, and much more is coming.
“Older now, beginning again, and I have never been more curious about what comes next. The darkness is beautiful. The old stories are still alive. And I still know how to find the light inside a shadow.”
